I jump at any and every chance I have to capture the special times in the lives of those close to me. Right now, this season of life is all about... having babies. So naturally, I get to do a lot of maternity sessions. And I really, really love it. Last week, I hung out with my friends, The Tyner family, and took a few family portraits before the three become four. You may look at these photos and (understandably) think they are a beautiful family now, but just wait until that gorgeous baby girl shows up! :)

For the very last day of 2014, we went out in the woods behind our house and took a few family photos. A huge thank you goes to my brother-in-law, Justin Robinson, for capturing these for us. It's no easy task to take pictures of a toddler and baby, but he did a great job (and it helps that they really love their uncle!) I want to remember them exactly as they are and these photos truly capture each of their sweet personalities. I will cherish them forever!

We almost forgot to get a picture of just the two of us! Thankfully, Justin snapped a couple more in our front yard. He also pointed out that we are definitely starting to "look" like parents, hahaha... sigh. I agree. ;)

It's been almost six months since I started my photography business. In some ways I cannot believe how fast time has flown! And in other ways, I feel like I have been doing this photography thing forever. It's been such a joy to document memories for so many wonderful families. My favorite thing, hands down, has been watching families grow. From maternity, to newborn, to family sessions. There is so much love and joy to be captured in every stage. Jen and Trey White's beautiful little girl, Madison Grace, was one of my very first newborn sessions back in early May. Just a few weeks ago, I had the joy of taking some family portraits of all three of them! Madi has grown so much in just a few short months and has the sweetest deposition. It didn't take much to get her to smile! I am so happy I get to share with you today a little glimpse of that joy.
