Music Monday // Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)

There are times when a song moves me from the very first note. And the words are exactly what I have been trying so hard to say, but couldn't.

This is how I feel about Hillsong United's, "Oceans" from their newest album Zion.

When my faith is tested, this song is what I want my response to be.

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters Wherever you would call me

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Savior

Imagine a world where we lived with this kind of faith? If every decision we made was one of complete dependence upon the Lord beyond what our limited minds could fathom. Walking on the water, in our every day lives.

I believe this song paints a beautiful picture of what that may look like.

- I almost didn't want to do this song because of HOW GOOD the original is. It's intimidating. Make sure to listen to it here.

- Trying to record a video by myself in the house with a dog and a 6 month old is... stressful. I locked up our dog in one of the back rooms and Micah, well his nap was cut short so he ended up in the same room as me. Enjoy his little ad libs!

- This was the first take that I actually made it past the bridge without an interruption - and my mind went into shock that I made it that far and completely forgot how to end the song. So I made it up. There you have it. ha!
