My dear friends, Nick and Natalie Carter (who have been featured a lot here and here on my blog!) had their baby boy Ezra a little over a month ago. I was so excited to take these newborn photos for them. I think I may have been a little more distracted than usual with this shoot, because well, I just was so excited for my friends and wanted to hold little Ezra and stare at his cute face!! So... I tried to stay focused. But this boy has stolen my heart. He has the best parents and is going to be raised in a home full of love. What a blessing! One of my absolute favorite things about doing photography is the people I get to meet. I'm an extroverted stay-at-home mom, so when I get the chance to get out of the house and converse with adults, you know it's a good day! ;) Michael and I went to high school together, but just recently connected again when he asked me to take his wife, Cayce's, maternity photos. It was so great to meet her and photograph this adorable little (baby boy) bump! They were a fantastic and easy-going couple to work with, the type that are "hard to take a bad photo" of. You'd never know that this shoot was almost rained out! I am so glad it didn't and we were able to capture this beautiful moment in their lives. They are going to be fantastic parents! I am so excited to share with you all sweet little Eden Elizabeth's one year old session! She is the daughter of one of my dear high school friends - Jodie. There are some friends that come and go during your lifetime, but I am thankful that Jodie is one of those friends that I've been able to keep in contact with through the years. I can't believe we are coming up on our 10 year reunion! And here we are both with little babies of our own. :) It was so fun to capture these photos of Eden in the home Jodie grew up in. Eden is such an adventurous girl at heart and loved exploring every part of the beautiful garden outside. I also learned of her incredible love for pillows! She was happiest when rolling around with them in the grass. It was the cutest thing! And I can't say I've seen anything quite like it before. ;)
