Music that Inspires: Volume #1

Welcome to a new blog series I'm going to be doing randomly here, the title says it all... enjoy. :)

An oldie but goodie, this beautiful hymn revisited by Shane & Shane never fails to bring me to the throne of worship. The words, "Because a sinless Savior died, my sinful soul is counted free" sum up the gospel of Christ in a nutshell.

::Before the Throne - Shane & Shane::

Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea A great high Priest who’s name is Love Who ever lives and pleads for me

My name is graven on His hand My name is written on His heart I know that while in heaven He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart

When satan tempts me to despair and tells me of the guilt within upward I look and see Him there Who made an end of all my sin

Because a sinless Savior died my sinful soul is counted free For God the just is satisfied to look on Him and pardon me

Hallelujah Praise the One Risen Son of God.

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb My perfect spotless righteousness The great unchangeable I AM The King of Glory and of grace

One in Himself, I cannot die My soul is purchased by His blood My life is hid with Christ on high With Christ my Savior and my God

You Are On Our Side - Bethany Dillon

This song is close to my heart.  I've been dealing with some things personally and needed to hear this. Wanted to share with you all. I love what Bethany has to say in the beginning.

The orphan clings to Your hand Singing the song of how he was found The widow rejoices For her oppressors are silenced now

You sit at the table with the wounded and the poor You laugh and share stories with the thief and the whore When You could just be silent and leave us here to die Still, You sent Your Son for us You are on our side

The runaway falls at Your feet You are what he has searched for The rich man is broken When he stands beneath a sky full of stars

You sit at the table with the wounded and the poor You laugh and share stories with the thief and the whore When You could just be silent and leave us here to die Still, You sent Your Son for us You are on our side

You sit at the table with the wounded and the poor You laugh and share stories with the thief and the whore When You could just be silent and leave us here to die Still, You sent Your Son for us You are on our side

Still, You sent Your Son for us You are on our side
