"iGRO" Beach Retreat Weekend

Josh and I returned this morning from Panama City Beach, FL, where we took our students (+4 other churches) on a retreat to the beach! It was a wonderful time of worship, bible study, teaching and games. The theme was "iGRO" and focused on growing spiritually in Christ. Josh's older brother, Jeff, gave great messages every night... and his younger brother, Justin, did an awesome time with the late night fun. It's great to serve Christ with family. Also cool, was the opportunity to lead worship with the Watermark Worship team. Our worship leader, Tim Flowers, has been a dear friend of the Robinson family for a long time now - like 8 years. He went to school with Jeff, then Josh, then me. He was part of the reason Josh and I met in the first place. So it's pretty neat how God has brought us all together to serve Him.

A few of my favorite quotes/teaching from this weekend:

"A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit... yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions." - Matthew 7:17 & 20

"In order to have backslidden, you must have moved forward in the first place." - Jeff Robinson

"The problem with a hard heart is not that they don't want to hear God... it's that they cannot hear God." - Jeff Robinson (speaking on Acts 28:27)

"SPRINKLES!" - Jeff Robinson (... you just had to be there, haha.)

My new favorite worship song is, "My Reward" by Kristian Stanfill. We led it every night this weekend... and so, I woke up with the words, "nothing compares to knowing you, nothing compares to loving you... I'm giving my life to follow You, my King!" every morning. I love it! :)
