Artful Advent - Hope
Many of you already know that I love to sing. And that I have a huge passion for creating music. But what you may not know is that I hear songs in conversations with people and words that I read on a page. Many hymns and praise songs jump out at me while I'm reading Scripture, especially the Psalms. This may sound weird to you if you're not much of a musician, or singer. But that's what makes us all unique. We all have those things that make us who we are.
My husband loves to tell stories of times we have been out to eat and I start singing along to a song I hear playing in the restaurant - while he sits there completely oblivious to the music playing at all!
You see, each of our eyes see differently. We see colors, shapes, people and art differently.
When I first heard the theme for this week's "Artful Advent," one song came to mind.
He Has Come For Us by Meredith Andrews.
For some reason, this song (out of all the songs), was the one that my heart began singing. The song only mentions "hope" one time in the chorus - but the entire song embodies this truth. Because, Jesus is our hope! He is the only hope we can have for life. Both abundant life on earth and eternal life in heaven.
Join me today as I sing and worship the Lord through this song. And don't forget to link up below with whatever art you feel inspired to create in honor of the HOPE we have in Jesus Christ!

God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ, our Savior Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power When we were gone astray O, tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy O, tidings of comfort and joy
Chorus: He has come for us This Jesus He's the hope for all Mankind He has come for us The Messiah Born to give us life
From God, our heavenly Father A blessed angel came And unto certain shepherds Brought tidings of the same How that in Bethlehem was born The Son of God by name O, tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy O, tidings of comfort and joy
Chorus
All the angels sing "Hallelujah!" Jesus Christ is born!" All the children sing "Hallelujah!" "He is Christ the Lord!"

God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ, our Saviour Was born on Christmas day
