Hannah Leigh | First Easter

A couple months before Hannah was born, I was sifting through baby girl clothes one night in her room. I came across a box of clothes from a dear friend of mine who had mentioned to me in passing that there was an adorable dress in there that would be perfect for Easter. As soon as I opened the box, my heart stopped. Tears welled up in my eyes as I stared at this tiny green dress with daisies (my favorite!) all over it.

There were several moments, after finding out we were expecting a little girl, that I felt the weight and reality of it sink in. This was definitely one of those times.

And now five weeks after her birth, I'm still staring in awe at my little baby beauty. And finally being able to hold her in this little Easter dress and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, was so sweet and special.

Lennon Jay | Newborn

You may remember our friends, Jared and Cassie. I had the honor of taking their maternity photos a few months ago. And last week I was even more honored to get the chance to capture some sweet shots of their little bundle of joy, Lennon Jay! It is so amazing to watch your friends become parents. It was especially sweet to spend a few hours with Cassie during the shoot and watch how she soothed and comforted her little boy. He is 8 weeks old and already smiling and staying awake much longer, so we weren't able to get any of the sleepy, newborn shots. But honestly? I think these bright-eyed and full-of-personality photos are even more adorable!

Hannah Leigh | Newborn

When Micah was one week old, we had a sweet friend come over to our house and take newborn photos for us. It was so special to be able to have these photos taken in the comfort of our own home. And I still look at them often, remembering how small and delicate he once was. I knew I wanted newborn photos of Hannah as well, but this time I decided I would attempt to take them myself. So here it is... my first newborn photoshoot of our precious 10-day old little girl, Hannah Leigh. :)
